Basically all you need to know is that one of our volunteers lives on an island, and that he helped start a super awesome drumming and dancing and folklore group.

You may also remember from last year’s trip to the island that it was a former leper colony.

This year we didn’t go out to see the old buildings and cemetary and such, but we did eat an excellent sancocho, enjoy the drum group, meet new people, drink some Aguilas, go paddling and celebrate a birthday island style.
